Middle/High School Debate Club

The first meeting of the debate/speech club will be held on June 6th at St. John's Newman Center (1481 University Ave, Morgantown, WV 26505), from 4-6 p.m. We will go over some of the basics of debate, talk about the different competition events, and run through the structure of the meetings planned for the rest of the year. We will hold an abbreviated Lincoln-Douglas debate demonstration, play some debate games, and think about an ongoing schedule for the coming year.

This will be a good opportunity to meet the other prospective members of the club and get an idea of what debate will be like, even if you are unsure about whether you want to participate in the competitions.
